Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for 2007 Ford F-150

Im putting the Godzilla motor in my 07 f150 that originally had the 4.6. Id like to tow a 5th wheel. Advice?

In order to tow a 5th wheel with your 2007 Ford F-150 you will need to install a 5th wheel trailer hitch. If you have an 8' bed you will want a fixed hitch. For a 6-1/2' bed truck you will want a sliding hitch.

If you have a 6-1/2' bed, I recommend the Reese 16K Fifth Wheel Hitch, Custom Install Kit with Above Bed Rails # RP30051 and # RP50081-58. The RP30051 has a towing capacity of 16,000 lbs. Even with the Godzilla engine you will want to check the maximum weight your vehicle can tow.

For a 5-1/2' or 8' I recommend the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs # RP30047. If you have the 5-1/2' bed you would need a rotating pin box in order to get enough cab clearance. A sliding hitch would not be enough. This 5th wheel hitch also uses the # RP50081-58.

The Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails # RP50081-58 uses existing mounting holes on the vehicle frame for a quick and easy installation when compared to a universal system.

I have included an installation video on an 09 F-150 for your reference.
