Replacement Motor for Ventline Range Hood PR-4
Published 08/25/2021 >
Question:
The vent fan motor...part number BVD0278-00 to my understanding, will replace the Ventline range exhaust fan motor PR-4. But, I noticed in the video that there are 3 wires on this replacement...where mine only has 2. I believe that mine is a one speed motor which would be the reason for the three wires on the replacement since it is 2 speed. Right? And if so...will this one still work...or is there another replacement? If this works...which wires are used? I have a black and white wire set up.

The Replacement Fan Motor for Ventline Range Hoods part # BVD0278-00 is correct for your Ventline Range Hood PR-4. I was able to confirm this with my contact at Ventline. The replacement process is super easy according to our customers. There are splines on the output shaft for the fan, two nuts that hold the motor in place, and then three wires.
Since you only have the two wires you'll have to experiment which which two wires will be correct for it to operate.
