We aren't familiar with the coupler height of an Apogee Optimax but it sounds like you assume it would be right at 15 inches which is a pretty standard height. And if that's the case a ball mount with 2-1/4 inch of rise and a 2 inch ball like the Curt Fusion part # C45155 that you referenced would work great with the hitch that fits your 2013 Nissan Rogue part # e98846.

If you needed trailer wiring you'd then need the # C56033.
