Trailer Hitch Receiver For a 2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid to Use a Thule Apex XT4 4 Bike Rack
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
Hi, Ive purchased a Thule Apex XT4 bike rack and now I need the hitch. The bike rack specs say its compatible with either a 1.25inch or 2inch receiver and can carry up to 4 bikes. I will indeed need to carry 4. Will the Curt 11576 do the trick for me? If so, would I also need to get the #18050 stability strap? Thanks!

The Curt Trailer hitch # C11576 will work on your 2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid. This class I receiver uses a 1-1/4" opening and is rated for a maximum tongue weight of 350lbs and 3,500lbs towing. Be sure to consult your dealer for vehicle ratings and use the lower of the 2 numbers for each.
The Thule Apex XT 4 Bike Rack # TH9025XT is only capable of hauling 2 bikes with a class I receiver like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11576. Yes, you will need the stabilizer strap # 18050 when using this hitch with a bike rack.
Since this is the only hitch available for your Camry, you will need to carry your other 2 bikes using a roof rack. Please let me know if you have factory rails on your Camry so I can recommend a roof rack system and some roof bike racks for you.
I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118763. This will give you a 4-way connector to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201. These auxiliary lights will help ensure the vehicles behind you can see the brake lights when you have your 4 bikes all loaded. It will also act as a wiring connection for if you need to pull a small trailer.
