How To Determine The Axle Rating Of Axle On Boat Trailer
Question:
How do you find the rating of the axle?

There are a few different ways to determine the weight rating of your axle.
The best way is to look for the axle tag on the center of the axle and you will see the axle rating on that tag. This is the only way that will give you the exact rating of the axle.
Now if the axle tag is missing or not readable then you can take the GVWR of the trailer and divide it by the number of axles on your trailer to get a rough idea of your axles rating.
Lastly you can remove one of your hubs and look for the bearing numbers stamped on the face of each bearing as shown in the included picture of the # L44649. Bearing combinations are for the most part standard and can give you an idea of what the axle rating is.
If you can provide any of the above information I would be happy to help you determine your axle rating.
