What is the Length of the Rhino-Rack T-Load Hitch Mounted Load Assist?
Question:
I want to know How tall it extends to? It only lists the width. I have a Ford F-150 FX4 and its way up in the air. My Yakima rack is track mounted on a cab level Snugtop camper shell. I cant get near that hight with this bulky Kaku Wahoo 10.5. It weighs 68 lbs. This thing needs a boom hoist! I need a measurement from the hitch to the top of the shell at least. Rack is 4 inches higher. After trying to put it up with a suction cup roller bar, I couldnt get it to the roller below the shell top.

The adjustable height range of the Rhino-Rack T-Load Hitch Mounted Load Assist and Support Bar for 2" Hitches - 49" Long # RTL002 is 42-64 inches high. In order to make sure that the Rhino-Rack T-Load will clear your camper shell and reach your crossbars, I recommend measuring the pinhole of your hitch receiver to the top of your shell. The Rhino-Rack T-Load hitch is not used for a lift assist.
However, if you are looking for a higher load assist for your Kaku Wahoo, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Universal Load Assist - Crossbar Mount - Side Loading - 132 lbs # RR-RUSL. The vertical mast of the Load Assist telescopes from 35-5/8 inches to 87-1/8 inches tall. The Load Assist will allow you to hoist your Kaku Wahoo onto your Yakima crossbars.
For a kayak carrier recommendation for your Yakima crossbars, I recommend the Malone Deluxe Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - Foam Block Style - 18" Long # MPG152. The Deluxe Kayak Carrier 2 block straps, 2 cam buckle load straps, and 2 bow/stern ties to secure you Kaku Wahoo to your 2006 Ford F-150.
