Tekonsha Brake Controller Not Powering On When Installed on 2003 GMC Sierra
Question:
I ordered the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - GM Part Numbers: TK90160,3015-P Installed it into my 2003 gmc sierra. It has the 7 port system on it I used the wire provided and it all connected properly it never lites up even when connected to the trailer. I know my 7port works because the trailer lights up and signals work. But the controller does not. I checked the 40 amp fuse under hood and still nothing.

If installed properly on your 2003 GMC Sierra the Tekonsha Primus IQ # TK90160 and Wiring Adapter # 3015-P, it sounds like the wiring in the instrument fuse panel is not completely connected. I have attached a video that will show you all the wiring inside the under hood fuse panel. There is a blue wire that may not be completely connected which would cause an issue like you are having.
It is a good time to check that the other 2 red wires are also installed on the mounting studs as well. You will need Flange Nuts # 185916 & # 185917 if they are not.
