Trailer Connector and Mounting Bracket Recommendation for 2021 Kia Sorento

Do you have a wiring harness for 2021 sorento sx and do your trailer hitch have a bracket for the trailer plug so its not hanging down underneath the vehicle

I'd recommend going with a circuit-protected powered taillight converter like # 119147KIT. The safest way to handle the trailer connector is actually to leave it stowed in the cargo area of the vehicle so it's protected from damage and exposure to the elements. When it's needed, simply run the connector out of the cargo area and over the bumper. If you keep the wire away from the latch, the weatherstipping on the hatch will provide plenty of cushion for the wires, they will not be damaged. I used the trailer connector on my old van for over 5 years with this setup, and never once had a problem.

If you have your heart set on running the trailer connector to the underside of the vehicle so it mounts with a bracket, you'll need to find a grommet in the floor of the vehicle. Cut an X into the grommet and run the trailer connector to the underside of the vehicle. Be sure to use some silicone to seal up that opening so exhaust gas doesn't enter the passenger cabin.

We don't offer a hitch that has an integrated mounting bracket, but you can easily install one using a bracket consisting of # 18144 and # 18140. The bracket would install to the hitch crosstube using the provided pipe clamp. You do not want to drill holes in the hitch crosstube, as that can weaken the hitch.

I've linked to a video for the trailer wiring and a video that explains how the 2 piece bracket works.
