The Dexter # 8-91-05UC1-EZ uses the Bearings # L44649 for the inner and outer positions. This would mean they are limited to use on axles rated up to 2,200 pounds. If you wanted to upgrade the hub to a 5 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern, like the etrailer.com Idler Hub # AKIHUB-555-35-K, you will most likely need to upgrade your axle.
This would use the inner bearing # L68149 and the outer bearing # L44649 and are typically used on an axle with a 3,500 pound capacity. You can upgrade the axle a few different ways to get this to work. The first would be a standard axle like the Dexter # 7359765. You would need to measure the spring seats on you current axle to make sure this fits, however.
The other would be to go with a Timbren Axle-Less system like the # ASR3500S05. This either bolts or gets welded on to the frame.
