Question:
I have a 2009 Ford F-250 and I have recently ordered a travel trailer that has an empty weight of 7993 lbs and a tongue weight of 859 lbs empty. Fully loaded the trailer could get to a weight of 9819 lbs and a possible tounge weight range of 980-1472 if I use the 10 to 15 percent calculation. Is the 1400 lb model to much or should I go with the 1200 lb model?

Based on the weight range you think you'd have of 980-1,472 lbs the Equal-i-zer kit you'd want would be the part # EQ37140ET that you mentioned. Since it's a travel trailer the likelihood of the tongue weight being a bit higher than 10 percent and being well within the range of this system is really high.
