We can get your 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler set up with a 7-way, and there are a couple of parts needed, as the only way to add the 7-way is by hardwiring one in. You do have the first part that is required, which is the 4-way, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56407.
Then, in order to add the 7-way connector, circuit breakers and rest of the hardware needed for installation you will need the following part:
- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7
This will allow you to wire the 7-way in your Jeep so you can add a trailer brake controller. I have added a link below to a video review as well as a help article on installation for you to check out if you'd like to take a look.
If you also need a brake controller for your Jeep, my favorite option is from Draw-Tite due to the value it gives you with its unique combination of quality and cost-effectiveness. The wiring harness and controller are the Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter # 3073-P and Brake EVN # TK63VR.
