Does the Exhaust Have To Be Lowered To Install Curt Hitch C13171 On 2019 Jeep Cherokee
Question:
referring to this QandA :Comparing Curt Class III Hitches C13395 and C13171 for 2019 Jeep Cherokee Towing Tear Trailer. there are two pics of jeeps each one with a different model hitch...I have a 2019 jeep cherokee limited that has the same exhaust pipe setup as the red jeep photo.. I dont seem to have enough room to work on installation of 13171..do I just need to take off the bottom fascia with the chrome exhaust ends to work on this or do I have to remove the muffler? I had bought this model just so I wouldnt have to take the exhaust off and the site said it fit my jeep? thanks in advance for any help and or instructions on what i have to do to successfully install the 13171..

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13171 is a fit for a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. It does not require that you lower the exhaust or remove any exhaust components. If you have a Trailhawk model then you will unclip a portion of the fascia around the exhaust but that's pretty much it. I have attached an install video on a Limited model below.
