Replacement Breakaway Switch for Trailer With Pin that Won't Fully Insert
Updated 03/02/2021 | Published 02/26/2021 >
Question:
I bought a 2016 travel trailer and noticed the breakaway pin is partially out. I tried pushing it back so it was flush with switch but doesnt seem to want to go back in. Should I buy a new switch and cable or is there a trick on putting pin back in. Thanks

Since there isn't a trick to pushing the pin of a breakaway system back in it would seem like yours is damaged and the easiest and best solution it to replace what you have with a new switch like the # 3802348 that you referenced. Since all of the breakaway switches operate the exact same they are interchangeable between brands so this would work perfectly with what you have.
