Products Featured in This Question
Question:
I have a 2012 Nissan Frontier with plug and play wiring and had been using an Curt Echo controller. I have recently added a Curt Triflex controller. Everything works normally until the headlights/parking lights are on when trailer brakes fully activate. All systems work normally with the Echo controller. Any ideas as to what is happening with the Triflex?

The Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller Item # C24VV is not going to work properly on your 2012 Nissan Frontier if you are using a factory plug and play wiring adapter. If you are, the red wire from the brake controller should not be connected to the green wire. These wires connected cause the power to jump circuits. To get the proper functions out of the brake controller it would require the Curt Custom Wiring Adapter Item # C51382.
