Best 2-1/2 Shank for an Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System

Question:

Hi, I’m looking at the 14k Equalizer WDH. I have a 2020 Ram 2500 towing a Jayco Eagle HT 284bhok with a GVWR of 9995lbs. What /rise 2 1/2 inch shank hitch should I purchase? Thank you.

If you're looking to tow your Jayco Eagle HT with your 2020 Ram 2500 using the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control, part # EQ37140ET, then we have a shank to make it work with your 2-1/2" receiver.

Though the Equal-i-zer comes with a 2" shank, it can be swapped out with another. I recommend the Equal-i-zer 8" Rise, 4" Drop Shank, part # EQ90-02-4800. As the name implies, this shank is designed to be used with the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems, and this is very similar to the one that comes with the system. The only difference is that this shank gives you an additional 1" of rise and drop, maximizing the compatibility with your setup. I've linked to a video review of this shank for you to look at.

Of course, pairing this shank with a different WD system would be a better option. Instead of part # EQ37140ET, use part # EQ37141ET. It's the same system but without the shank, meaning you wouldn't have to take off anything to get the shank from above to work. I've linked to a video review of this system for you to look at.
