How to Activate 12-Volt Trailer Power Feed on 7-Way Trailer Connector of 2018 Ford F-350
Question:
2018 f350 I have specified tester plugged in received the trailer connected message on dash panel and still no power to 12v pin. What am I missing or where am I overlooking?

The 2015+ Ford trucks are equipped with a so called 'smart' trailer connector that only sends power to that circuit if the proper load is applied, like a trailer being plugged in. The LED # C73NR tester won't draw enough power to activate the circuit. Additionally, the 12-volt feed needs to be set up/enabled through the on-dash info screen. The specific procedure is outlined in the Towing section of the owner's manual.
