We have a kit specifically designed for converting a 4-way like what you have installed on your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited to a 7-way and comes with everything needed to install the brake controller with the part # ETBC7. This would be the kit I would recommend you use to install the Redarc Tow Pro Elite # 331-EBRH-ACCV2 that you mentioned.

The wiring kit you mentioned # 5506 is part of what comes with the ETBC7 too so you would not need that in addition to anything.

Question:

Greetings, I current have a 2017 JK with a 4 pin connector. I am looking to tow a trailer with brakes etc. I am going to install a Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller and I believe I can use the Curt Trailer Connector C57672 to partially adapt the current 4 pin wiring to the the 7 pin connector. Ive seen you recommend the wiring kit 5506. What is that needed for? I know I am running the black to battery, blue to brake controller, white to gnd. What does the yellow wire get connected to?

You do not need to wire that to anything. You can leave it left disconnected.
