Can 6 Bolt Hub and Drum Replace the 5 Spoke Utility Hubs?

Question:

hi i would like to convert my 5 spoke utility trailer hub # 8-174-5UC3 into a regular 6 lug. I measured my inner bearing and it measures 1.375 and my outer bearing measures 1.250. i cant find anything on this website with my size inner bearing. also would it be safe to keep using the hubs im currently using?

It sounds like you actually have a different bearing combination based on your measurements than our 5 spoke utility hub so I recommend the # 15123 bearing and the # LM48548 bearing on your current hubs. We don't have a 6 bolt hub that fits those bearing sizes if your measurements are correct.

If you have the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 6,000-lb and 7,000-lb Axles - 12" - 5 Spoke Utility # 8-174-5UC3 you mentioned it has bearings # 15123 and # 25580. The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 5,200-lb and 6,000-lb E-Z Lube Axles - 12" - 6 on 5-1/2 # 8-201-9UC3-EZ will be a great replacement for that utility hub.
