Length and Outside Diameter of Yates Rubber YR8244-105EC Boat Keel Roller

Question:

Printed review of YR8244-105EC dimensions-7inch L x 3inch OD are different than the videos of 7-3/4inch L x 3-1/2inch OD. I need to know the actual correct dimensions. Also, I need to know if the end bushings go completely through the entire 7-3/4inch length. FYI - poorly designed rollers have bushings on the ends only no bushing in the middle/center section of the roller which causes the center section of the roller which has no bushing to deform under weight and cause eventual premature failure. I have 40 years of experience on this. SO does this roller have the bushing extend the entire 7-3/4inch length?

I just got off the phone with one of the owners of Yates Rubber, manufacturer of the # YR8244-105EC keel roller you're asking about. The as-finished length of the roller is 7-3/4 inches with an OD of 3-1/2 inches at the ends. The plastic bushings you see are actually end caps, but there is a steel pipe inside of that which acts as a bushing, so the rubber won't bind against the roller shaft.
