Question:

will part number 118381 work for a 7 pole into a 6 pole and also having the 4 pole available for different applications my major concern is i have a trailer that has a 6 pole connector but the availability of having three different poles would be great. this is for a 2001 Dodge 1500 full size van with a step bumper and do you have a trailer hitch recommended for this bumper

Next I would recommend you install a Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole # 37185. This will give you a 4-way and a 7-way. Finally, I would recommend you get a Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow Trailer Connector Adapter # HM47570. This will plug into the 7-way of the # 37185 when needed and give you a 6-way, a 5-way and a 4-way.
