Can Trailer Wiring Without Converter be Installed on a 2007 Jeep Liberty

On a 2007 Jeep Liberty can you wire direct a trailer wiring kit with out one of those solid state converters? I had one and it popped all my fuses on the drivers side after about 3 years of use.

If you have the factory tow package on your 2007 Jeep Liberty then you can use the Tekonsha # 118381 or # 20135 which is just wires without a converter. If you don't have the factory tow package then you need the Tekonsha # 118524 which does have the converter.
I find it a little odd that the converter popped all of the fuses on your vehicle because the purpose of the converter is to protect your vehicle OEM wiring. With the Tekonsha # 118524 mentioned above it will draw power directly from your vehicle battery and so the tee connections are only used to tell the wiring when to send power to your trailer lights.
