Finding Brake Controller Stoplight Switch for Installing P3 in 2014 Ram 3500

Question:

2014 ram 3500 where do i connect the red wire ..... not using a wire harness..i have one wire two the red side of battery one to the black side of battery and run the blue wire to the plug.....dont want to use factory wiring

If you wanted to hardwire in the P3 part # 90195 instead of using the brake controller wiring present on the truck I would still recommending finding the factory connector normally used for brake controller installs and test with a circuit tester like part # PTW2997 till you find the wire that carries this circuit. This will be the easiest way to find it.
