5-Bike Hitch Mounted Rack Recommendation for Kids and Womens Bikes

Question:
Which 5-bike hitch rack do you recommend for an SUV, Buick Enclave to carry 5 bikes for family, so would include kids bikes an womens bike. I know ill most likely have the adapter bars for those for any of the racks. But are some better than others in terms of spacing and ease of mounting? Then other consideration is durability/quality. Thank you.

Great question. The Thule Apex XT 5 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches - Tilting # TH9026XT is my recommendation for your family and your Buick Enclave. It is a great quality bike rack and it is able to tilt away from your rear hatch for cargo access when bikes aren't attached. It comes with integrated locks to secure the rack to the hitch as well as secure the bikes to the rack. The cradles are spaced 7 inches apart to give your bikes space with anti-sway cradles to keep contact from each other or your vehicle.
I do recommend using the bike adapter bar # Y02531 for really small kids bikes or # 64005 for youth and adult bikes. If you want additional security when using the adapter bars I recommend using a cable lock like # e98891 running the cable through the frames and the chain loops of your hitch receiver.
