Solution for Brake Controller Install Port of 2016 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 Not Active
Question:
I just experienced an issue with no power to the 4 pin trailer brake connection under the driver seat, so the installer ran hot wire to the brake light switch bad. I searched everywhere, for the solution. Mercedes, Sprinter and Winnebago could not help. Finally I found the Draw Tite blog and a moderator recognized the solution right away. The 4 pin harness under the seat when connected to the mater 4 pin harness to a brake controller will ONLY work when the 7 pin at the hitch is connected to a trailer, the motor is running and the brake pedal is depressed or the brake controller is manually engaged. I appreciate any wide dispersion you choose.
