Best Assisted Kayak Carrier Recommendation for Jeep Grand Cherokee with Thule Crossbars

I own the Thule 60 inch aero bars roof rack exclusive to the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 With no side rails it’s looks like this kayak carrier and load assist is capable with aerobars but I’m seeing An extra part may need to be ordered??? I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee srt8 ....trying to see what my best option to transport a 10 foot kayak that’s just under 40 inches wide 70 lbs I purchased a trailer hitch from you guys and almost just want to add an extender bar and transport in my back with seats folded down

Since your Thule aero bar style of crossbars have top channels you will want to use the adapter part # MPG8287 with the Malone DownLoader Kayak Carrier and TelosXL Load Assist w/ Tie-Downs # MPG114MD-351XL that you referenced.

If you are thinking about this carrier I would recommend considering the Thule Hullavator part # TH898 for an easier to use and more helpful assisted kayak carrier. This uses gas shocks to help load the kayaks and you'll be much happier with it over the Malone. I attached a review video for both racks for you to check out as well so that you can compare them.
