The best way to lock the etrailer roof basket part # RRRMCB03 you referenced to a set of crossbars is with a cable lock like the # 8291DPS. I like this lock because it's shorter at 3 feet and has a padded cable which would protect the paint of the vehicle roof and the bars of the basket.
