Recommended Backup Camera System For Use With Multiple Trailers and How To Wire So It's Always On

Can camera be wired to running lights for power rather than running wiring to battery, I looking for continuous rear view. And is a 2nd camera available for a different trailer?

Expert Reply:

Yes. It is recommended that you run the power for the Rear View Safety Backup Camera # RVS-155W through the running light circuit instead of the reverse light circuit so that you have a continuous view of what's behind you. This will allow your camera system to function so long as the running lights on your trailer are powered via your tow vehicle's 7 way connection. The Rear View Safety system cannot add additional cameras on different trailers like you're looking for though.

Since you're looking for a system that can have multiple cameras on different trailers with the same monitor, you'll instead want to use the Voyager monitor part # WVHS43 with 4.3" screen or part # WVHS541 with 5.6" screen and then you need to add an additional Voyager WiSight RV Observation Camera part # WVCMS130AP.
