Question:
I am wanting a hinged coupling where the existing tongue can be cut and the hinge welded in between the exising tongue and the balance of the trailor tongue. Not sure if the veribage in the ad means the same? What are actuators or couplings?

Couplers are the foremost part of the trailer that attaches to the hitch ball. Actuators are trailer couplers that are normally on boats and have a surge brake system built in. Standard couplers are couplers without brakes. The Fulton Fold-Away Hinge Kit is the weld on version and there is a bolt on version available to create a foldaway tongue for a 3 inch by 3 inch trailer frame like # FHDPB330301 and # FHDPW330300. When determining the maximum pivot length make sure to use the table (see link below) at the bottom of the product page to stay within your trailer and vehicles capacities.
