Do I Need to Remove My Bumper Cover to Install a Hitch on my 2020 Subaru Outback like on my 2017

I had a tough time getting my bumper cover back on when doing the hitch on my 2017 Subaru Outback is it the same way for my new 2020?

I've got some great news! It is no longer required that you remove the rear bumper cover on your 2020 Subaru Outback when installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" part # CU89FR. You will remove the lower cover which uses a few gastmers and will be able to slide your hitch between the trunk pan and bumper beam. It takes a lot of the work out of the installation for you.

If you plan on hauling a trailer or using a cargo carrier with lights use Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C56040. This is a custom fit harness for your Outback and will plug into an existing port in the rear hatch area. It will not require any modifications to the vehicle and will leave you with a 4-way flat trailer connector to use if needed.
