Timbren Axle-Less Suspension Upgrade For A 4x6 Off-Road Trailer

Hello, I need help in piecing together the suspension components. I am in the process of converting my leaf spring 4x6 trailer to the Tembren axle-less setup. I believe the ASR1THDS03 are what I need? As I need something that can handle the extreme off-road conditions along with the added lift. I plan on getting a set of hubs with matching 6x5.5 bolt pattern as my 07 FJ Cruiser, but which one? I also need for the axle-lesss and hubs to be able to support 17inch wheels and 33inch off-road mud terrain tires. Please advise. Thank you.

When choosing your axle-less solution components, you want to match up a few things, including your wheel size and the set of bearings used in the hub. The bearings in the hubs have to match in order for them to fit on your spindles. You also need to match the wheel bolt pattern and the hub weight capacity.

The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # ASR1THDS03 referenced uses L68149 inner, L44649 outer so we need a hub and drum set that matches. The only hub and drum set we have for 17" wheels with 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern is the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 6,000-lb Axles # 42655UC1. It has the inner bearing 25580 (1.75" inner diameter) Outer bearing: 15123 (1.25" inner diameter) so they are not a match.

A better solution I recommend is the Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - 4" Lift Spindle - Off-Road Tires - 3,500 lbs # ASR35HDS02 which we've seen used for similar off-road applications. These will work with the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-201-9UC3-EZ bearing sizes.

Included are video resources with more information on these parts.
