Question:
Hello, we have a customer with an older rocket box that lost the keys. I was able to remove the latches and access the box but we need to replace the lock now. If I understand correctly the lock core can be replaced but not if it is in the lock position. Is there a complete lock assembly that can be purchased? I have attached a picture of what I have.

I do have an option for you but the latches are not available for the older Yakima Rocket Boxes. Therefore, you will need to remove the old lock core. The issue however is that the lock core can only be removed if the lock core is unlocked assuming you don't have the key. If it is locked you will need to drill out the lock core or if you know the key number you can get a key for it based on this. Assuming nothing was damaged after drilling you should be able to replace this with a new lock core and control key, the Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores part # Y07202 which comes with two lock cores, two coded keys, and a control key.
