Question:
Reese told me I need a custom install kit PN# 50040-58 for my 2012 ram 2500 crew cab SB. This PN#rp30035-186 says its semi custom, whats the difference?

The semi-custom installation kit, # RP30035-186, includes some under bed brackets that are a better fi to the frame rails on your truck than the universal kit L brackets. But they are not the best fit, which would be the custom kit. What this means is that you will have to do more drilling to install the semi-custom kit and it will take longer to install, about 3-1/2 hours. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.
If your truck has a gas motor and no overload springs, you can use the custom installation kit, # RP50140-58. Installation time is estimated at 2-1/2 hours. I have included a link to the installation instructions for this kit as well.
