Will etrailer e98848 Class III Hitch Interfere w/ Hands Free Rear Liftgate Function 2018 Honda CR-V

Hello, Is this hitch compatible with the 2018 Honda CR-V hands-free lift gate function or do I need the sensor relocation kit? Thank you!

From what Curt tells us, the hands-free liftgate feature will most likely not function with the # e98848 hitch installed. Some folks say the feature still works, but only on one or two specific spots, but we've also heard from folks where it won't work at all. Obtaining the # 08U59-TLA-100A from your local Honda dealer will be your best bet to ensure the liftgate feature works without problems.

When trimming the rear fascia, be very careful not to accidentally cut the wires leading to the sensor.
