Does The BetterWeigh Tongue Weight Payload Scale Measure Weight On The Tow Vehicle Axles

can this device weigh just the truck, then the truck with a slide in camper and give weights for each axle or each wheel? will engine and transmission modifications cause false readings?

The BetterWeigh Mobile Tongue Weight and Payload Scale part # C51701 will weigh the truck without the camper connected and with the camper connected to tell if you are going over the gross combined weight rating of your vehicle with the trailer attached. It will also tell you the payload weight in the vehicle (the weight of both the cargo and passengers) and the tongue weight. However, the BetterWeigh does not determine physical weights on the axles. It does have a weight distribution feature that will display a gauge that shows you if you need to adjust the weight or not. I have attached a photo that shows what the gauge display looks like. This is for setting up a Weight Distribution system, and only shows this view when the vehicle is parked with WDS connected and the jack raised

If you have engine or transmission modifications all you will have to do is go through the manual calibration process instructions that are provided in the application. You will need to have an empty parking lot where you can perform 15 to 20 test runs where you accelerate to 15 MPH at varying throttle. If you have engine or transmission modifications, you will not be able to just put in your VIN to calibrate the gauge.
