A weight distribution system will be a wise choice for your 2017 Nissan Pathfinder towing a 2006 Trailmanor 2720sl popup camper. The weight of your camper is over half the weight of your vehicle and the tongue weight will most likely cause noticeable sag so a WD system will give you a much safer and less stressful towing experience.
The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.
The Curt WD system part # C17050 that you referenced has a tongue weight range of 500 to 600 lbs which most likely would be what you'd need based on the weight of your trailer's tongue weight when loaded.
For a hitch ball you'd then want the part # 40038 for if you need a 2 inch ball or part # C40030 for if you need a 2-5/16 inch ball.
2" Hitch Ball - 1" Diameter x 2-1/4" Long Shank - Chrome - 12,000 lbs
2-5/16" Hitch Ball - 1-1/4" Diameter x 2-5/8" Long Shank - Chrome - 15,000 lbs
Curt MV Weight Distribution System - Round Bar - 6,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW
