Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500

What are the relative install times on the blue ox, draw-tite and curt hidden gooseneck kits? the price spread is significant, does one have a large advantage?

When installing an underbed gooseneck hitch on most trucks, a professional installer with all of the correct tools could install any of the kits in about 2-1/2 hours. For the average do-it-yourselfer at home you are looking at more like a half a day of work to install a hitch.

All of the hitches for your 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 do come with custom installation kits that make installing the hitch easier and eliminate as much drilling as possible.

The Draw-Tite gooseneck hitch, # 9464-35, that you have referenced is the most popular hitch option for your truck. It also has a high rating as you can see from the customer reviews on the product page. I would not say that one of the hitches has an advantage over the others.

With Draw-Tite you get a limited lifetime warranty. The Curt warranty is also a limited lifetime. Draw-Tite has been a leader in the towing industry for many years so they do have a solid reputation. But the Curt products also perform well and we have not had complaints on them.
