The ball mount I highly recommend for your 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty that has a 2-1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver like the Curt # C15802 is the B&W Tow & Stow because of its high quality, stow-away design, and the fact it protects the ball mount platform from theft. The hitch ball platform of this mount actually flips underneath the shank to face your truck, saving you from accidentally slamming your leg into it when walking behind your F-250. Additionally, when the Tow & Stow is in your F-250's hitch the ball mount platform simply cannot be removed from the shank so you never have to worry about someone running off your hard-earned property.

There are different versions of the Tow & Stow, a 2-ball mount and 3-ball mount and you can choose the one you need based on the rise and drop they offer. The 3-ball mounts have a 1-7/8" hitch ball (3,500 lb towing capacity), 2" hitch ball (7,500 lb towing capacity) and 2-5/16" hitch ball (14,500 lb towing capacity). The 2-ball mounts have a 2" hitch ball (7,500 lb towing capacity) and 2-5/16" hitch ball (14,500 lb towing capacity).

- B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2-1/2" Hitch - 4-1/2" Drop/Rise # BWTS20037B
- B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2-1/2" Hitch - 7-1/2" Drop/Rise # BWTS20040B
- B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount - 2-1/2" Hitch - 4-1/2" Drop/Rise # BWTS20048B
- B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount - 2-1/2" Hitch - 7" Drop/7.5" Rise # BWTS20049B

If you need more of a drop or rise the best options are the 180 Hitch 2-Ball Mount w/ Stainless Balls - 2-1/2" Hitch - 8" Drop, 9" Rise # LTB8-25 or Flash E Series HD Adjustable 2-Ball Mount - 2-1/2" Hitch - 10" Drop, 10" Rise # FA42-00-2925.

If you are not sure what rise or drop you need, you can use the link to the help article on ball mounts I've added which explains how to determine what is right for you.

Question:

Which would be best with a weight scale (WS)?? Or would you choose a BW over a weight scale ball mount for other reasons (like from being stolen). I read your message and it seems like that is one feature BW has over other mounts - Thx for ur advice

The best ball mount that has a tongue weight scale and fits a 2-1/2" hitch is definitely the Weigh Safe because of how easy it is to use and how well constructed it is out of a rustproof aluminum alloy.

While the B&W has the built-in security feature, it can be added to the Weigh Safe with the Locking Dual Pin Assembly and Hitch Pin Set for 180 Hitch and Weigh Safe 2-Ball Mounts # WS06.

You can add this lock set to any of the available Weigh Safe, each of which come a dual hitch ball, a 2" hitch ball that has an 8,000 lb capacity and a 2-5/16" hitch ball with a 14,500 lb capacity. Here are the available ball mounts with a tongue weight scale from Weigh Safe, and their rise and drop can be adjusted in 1" increments so you can get as level as possible. I have also added links to a video review of this ball mount for you to check out.

- Weigh Safe 2-Ball Mount w/ Built-In Scale - 4" Drop, 5" Rise # WS4-25
- Weigh Safe 2-Ball Mount w/ Built-In Scale - 6" Drop, 7" Rise # WS6-25
- Weigh Safe 2-Ball Mount w/ Built-In Scale - 8" Drop, 9" Rise # WS8-25
- Weigh Safe 2-Ball Mount w/ Built-In Scale - 10" Drop, 11" Rise # WS10-25

Question:

I currently don’t have anything to pull but I want to be prepared for when I do. Which Weight Safe mount, on the AVERAGE, would best fit my 2019 Ford 250 STX 4by4. My concern is the, I don’t want to be too short nor too long. Plus I’ll be hauling different trailers soon. Thx

I can certainly understand you wanting something with the correct rise or drop but the truth is there simply is not something that is going to be the best fit, on average, for your truck.

Due to the extreme variances in coupler heights depending on the trailer it is possible you may need the ball mount with the most rise or drop available, the 10" drop or 11" rise Weigh Safe # WS10-25, though that would likely only be the case if you had a lift kit on your truck, for example.

It is very likely you will be perfectly fine with the 8" drop or 9" rise Weigh Safe # WS8-25 on your 2019 F-250.
