Question:
I have a 2003 mercury mountaineer it came with hitch receiver and a 1 1/4 ball cover. I bought a 2 cover that doesnt fit inside hitch. what is exact size cover do I need to purchase. or is there an adapter you sale that will work. thank you

It sounds like you have a 1-1/4" hitch receiver on the Mercury Mountaineer. You need a hitch cover that fits 1-1/4" hitch receivers like part # AUT2-MRY-C that you referenced. There is not an adapter available to make the 2" hitch cover fit the 1-1/4" hitch.
I also recommend to use a Anti-Rattle Lock part # SHP2082 to lock the hitch cover into the hitch.
