Does the rain fly need to be removed in order to close the tent for travel?

Before closing the Yakima SkyRise HD Tent # Y07437 up for travel you will need to remove the rainfly from the tent. I did also verify this with my contact at Yakima.

can you remove steps from the ladder on the skyrise medium tent it seems i have far too many (because its on such a low car im guessing audi a4) when I pull it out I can never get a proper step arrangement going always 2 and 3 bunched together its very annoying

There's not a good way to actually remove rungs from the SkyRise ladder. Your only option is to stack the unused rungs beneath the top one like you've been doing. I wish I had a better solution.
