Hitch for 2018 Volkswagen Golf SE TSI

Question:

Is there any reason as to why this would not fit on a 2018 Golf SE TSI? I can almost guarantee the unibody is the exact same where the hitch mounts crash bar bolts. I am assuming it is a fascia shape/design difference, as to why it is showing for the R model only. The listing is showing that you have to trim it anyways to fit the R model anyways, so maybe it would fit the TSI rear fascia, as the TSI does not have the low hanging diffuser on the rear fascia.

I was able to confirm with my tech contact at Curt that their Class I hitch # C11412 will fit your 2018 Golf SE TSI hatchback. This hitch includes all required hardware. I linked the written instructions and an install video.

If you intend to use this hitch with a bike rack or cargo carrier a support strap # 18050 is recommended. Curt requires this item or a similar one to support the load on the hitch and to maintain the limited lifetime warranty.
