What is Correct Tire Pressure for Goodyear ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # 724857519

Question:

Hi there, I was looking on your website Q/As regarding the Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 tire pressure. I have reviewed the chart from the link one of you sent and attached to this question. I have a 2009 25foot Travel Trailer with a GVWR of 8180 lbs. Since my TT is nowhere near what the weight these Endurance tires support should I still be inflating to 80 psi? Or should I inflate to something like 60psi which is closer to my RV GVWR? Thank you

Expert Reply:

Since your trailer has a GVWR of 8,180 lbs and you have a total of four tires under your trailer 50 psi would be the best pressure to use in the Goodyear tires part # 724857519. This will give you an individual tire capacity of 2,150 lbs which will be just over what you'd need. Too much pressure would cause the center of the tires to wear out quicker which is why it's smart to use the correct amount.
