Can Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs be Installed in 2005 Ford F-250 with 5th Wheel Hitch
Question:
Air bag recommendation with draw tite signature 5th wheel hitch installed. I have a 2005 f250 4x4 with a draw tite signature 5th wheel hitch installed. Can I use the Firestone 2400 air bag kit? It looks light I might have to drill through the hitch frame attachment plate.

The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2400 can be installed in your 2005 Ford F-250 and you should not have to do any drilling.
The reason for that, according to the directions, is that when you install the upper bracket with the 3/4" bolt it will be long enough to go through the Ride-Rite bracket, your hitch bracket and the frame. If you take a look at the directions as well as the photo I added from the linked video of these springs being installed on an '05 F-250 you can see where the bracket would mount. That hole should be accessible if you installed your hitch brackets using it, which I imagine you did.
I also strongly recommend using the Firestone Air Command I - Standard-Duty Compressor # F2158 with the helper springs because it will make using and maintaining your air bags much simpler. I have added links to a video install of this compressor system for you to check out as well.
