5th Wheel Bed Rail Kit for 2006 GMC 2500 Short Bed Compatibility with Holes from Previous Kit

Question:

2006 gmc 2500 short bed My truck had 5th wheel rails in it when I bought it. I removed them, now I am getting a 5th wheel. Since I have no idea what brand hitch was in my truck , what are the chances the angle brackest and the holes will be in the right location for my new hitch?

There is a really good chance that the rails will reinstall in the exact same location. If you removed a universal rail kit like # RP30035 then you would have removed 4 L-brackets and they will simply install in the same location. If you removed custom brackets, then I recommend using the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50064-58 which will use factory holes in your frame for a no drill bracket installation.

I wish I could tell you with 100 percent clarity that they will line up exactly with your old holes, but I can't confirm that without knowing what kit you had previously installed.
