Disc Brake Kit Recommendation for EZ-Loader Trailer w/3700 lb Single Axle

Question:

Will these brakes fit? 2017 EZ-loader trailer w/3700# single axle with 1 1/16x 1 3/8 spindles? 13in wheels. For 14-18ft length boat. Could you tell me ALL related parts needed, brake lines, hydraulic actuator, etc. Will see 50/50 fresh/saltwater. Do I need a special seal for an EZ-loader trailer?

Your spindle dimensions are the standard 3,500 lb axle dimensions which is exactly what the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR35DKG that you referenced is designed to fit so this kit will fit and work well for you. This kit would work really well for a saltwater/freshwater application. The Dacromet and KodaGuard finish do an excellent job preventing corrosion. The bearings and seals of this kit are sold separately so you'll need the part # RG06-050 for seals and part # L68149 and # L44649 for bearings. You wouldn't need special seals either.

For an electric over hydraulic kit that comes with everything you'll need and the best actuator around you'd want the HydraStar kit part # HBA16-252-82. The Hydrastar actuators are the most reliable and quickest performing so we recommend them the highest.

Question:

Hello, I see that you recommended an electric hydraulic actuator. Can you recommend one that works with the Kodiak kit that is non-electrical? Also a hose kit to match? Thanks. I also saw something about needing a different seal for an EZ-loader trailer. Have you heard this before?

We have the Titan Disc Brake kit part # T4843100 which fits 3,500 lb axles like you have and comes with everything needed to add disc brakes to your trailer. The hub/rotors, the lines, and a surge actuator as well. The hubs also fit the same spindles and are also dacromet.
