Base Rails and Installation Kit for 2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty and Pro Series 5th Wheel Hitch

Question:

I have a 2005 f-150 with Reese hitch 30099. Not sure about the rails. Just bought a 2015 F-250. Will the hitch fit the truck and will I need new rails for the F-250?

Pro Series fifth wheel hitches fit industry-standard base rails so that is all you need to install in your 2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty.

I highly recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails # RP50026-58 because these are a vehicle-specific fit that will not require drilling into your truck's frame and will cut the installation time significantly. The other option are the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit # RP30035 which does require you to drill into your new truck's frame to install and has a longer and more difficult installation. I have added links to video installs of both kits for you to check out.

Please keep in mind the part number you referenced, # PS30099, is just the Head Assembly, Head Support and Handle Kit for a Pro Series 5th Wheel hitch; its compatible legs are Replacement Base Legs # RP30727 and are part of the Pro Series # PS30093 5th wheel hitch, which is rated for 16,000 lbs and is what I assume you have.
