There's a number of parts you need to flat tow your 2018 Ford F-150 behind your diesel motorhome. Starting with a baseplate kit and compatible tow bar I like the Demco products. The base plates # DM9519318 are hardly noticable when you're not towing and the Excali-Bar tow bar, part # DM9511013, pairs right up with them. Demco's tow bars also have independently moving arms which can make them easier to hook up to the base plates. They also include safety cables so that's one less thing you need to worry about.

The Roadmaster diode kit # RM-15267 gives you everything to power the F-150's lights in conjuntion with the motorhome's. It includes the wiring to spice into the truck's, a connector to install at the front of the truck, and the cord to go between the truck and the motorhome. I've linked an install video from when we installed it on an F-150 for you. The truck's lights are likely going to override the motorhome's as well. Use the Brake-Lite relay, part # RM-88400, to solve this issue. I've linked this install video as well.

Since you've got a diesel motorhome you need a braking system that works with air brakes. Using a system for hydraulic brakes causes false braking on the vehicle being towed. The Air Force One, part # SM99243, won't have this issue. There's another install video on the same F-150 linked too.

In addition to the videos I've linked a number of articles you might find helpful. One of them is on high-low adapters which you'll possibly need as well. The Demco tow bar offers up to 1-1/2 inches of drop or rise but that may not be enough. Take a look at the aticle to see how to determine the rise or drop you need. I've also linked our selection of high-lows for once you've figured it out.
