I spoke with my contact at Pilot on the Pilot Automotive Tie Down Anchors, part # WTD-823, and if it has a load capacity rating. He explained that if the tie down mounts are installed to the truck beds side rail correctly, it will hold a load that will cause the trucks side rails to cave in before the tie down will break. He said that was how they tested the tie downs on a truck.
He also stated that the straps that are to be used with the Pilot tie downs would need to have a high enough breaking strength capacity for the load you will be tying down, since the strap could have the lowest rated capacity of the whole tie down system.
