High-Rise Gooseneck Hitch Ball for a 2017 Ford F-350

Question:

We have a 2017 F 350. We also have a fifth wheel. We had a different set up in our old truck with a goose neck hitch that looks like a pyramid. I ordered a curt oem puck system gooseneck ball and saftey chain. But the ball is not tall enough to clear the bed of the truck when we try to connect. Is there a longer in ball available or do I have to change out the hitch on the trailer?

The only high-rise gooseneck hitch ball they make for your 2017 Ford F-350 is the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit part # BWGNXA2061 which measures 5-3/4" from the base to the top of the ball (see photo). If this will not work with what I assume to be an Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch then we do have the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # DM8550045 which will work with the Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit part # C60692 that you have now.

The Demco Recon is similar to the Andersen Ultimate in that it attaches to the gooseneck hitch ball. It weighs around 125 lbs but can be broken down into three pieces for unloading. I have attached a review video for you that explains some of its features.
