Trailer Hitch with D-Rings Needed for Custom Flatbed/Dump Bed on a 1998 GMC K3500
Question:
So I have pick up frame rail spacing instead of c+c. Will be getting a custom flatbed/dump bed. I hear I can’t get a d plate for a pickup so wondering what my best option is. B and W seems to make a decent hitch for my application as does Curt. I have no limitations of bumper. Anything that might stiffen frame is a plus.

It looks like you are trying to find something like the Buyers Products # 3371809055 which fits Cab and Chassis with a 34" Frame Width.
This provides ICC bumper protection, has a max trailer weight rating of 17,000 lbs, and is made right here in the USA. Please note that if this weight rating exceeds the weight rating on your 1998 GMC K3500 pickup you will need to stay within the lesser of the weight ratings.
