Towing Capacity and Trailer Hitch for 2019 Toyota Corolla

How much can I tow with my new 2019 Corolla?

I looked up the owner's manual to your 2019 Toyota Corolla and it states that the vehicle is not designed to tow and that Toyota doesn't recommend towing with it. With such a new vehicle I recommend checking your own manual or with Toyota to see if they can provide a tow rating.

If you find you can tow with the Corolla we do have hitches available. I recommend the Curt, part # C11265, because it is tucked under the bumper by about an extra 1/2 inch compared to the Draw-Tite. Since your using it to tow the less conspicuos the better. If you're going to carry a bike rack or cargo carrier then instead I recommend the Draw-Tite, part # 24913, for the same reason. The hitch being closer to the rear bumper is better for accessories like this so they'll sit further from the car and not contact it during travel.

In addition to the Curt hitch you also need a ball mount, part # C45521, pin and clip, part # F-4, and hitch ball, part # A-80.

Then for trailer wiring use the Hopkins, part # HM11141824. I prefer the Hopkins because the converter box mounts with two screws instead of just double sided tape or a single screw. You don't want the converter box moving around becuase it could become damaged.
